We require you to familiarize yourself with our refund policy before confirming your reservation. By reserving a yacht with TranquilCommonsHaven, you agree to the stipulated terms of refund.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Timetable
Exceeding 72 Hours Before Charter
Entitled to: Full refund except for handling fees
Refund Processing Duration: 5-7 working days
Handling Charge: €50 for credit card payments
Requirements: Must be submitted in written form via email or by calling
24-72 Hours Before the Charter
Entitled to: Half of the complete charter expenses
Refund Processing Duration: 7-10 working days
Handling Charge: €25 withheld from the refund
Requirements: A valid justification is needed; administrative charges will apply
Under 24 Hours Before the Charter
Entitled to: No reimbursement accessible
Exception: Consideration may be given in emergencies
Alternative: Yacht credits might be issued based on executive discretion
Requirements: Official corroboration for emergency situations
Weather-Linked Cancellations
Our Commitment to Safety
We prioritize safety above all else. If sail conditions are considered dangerous by our expert captain, we offer the following alternatives:
- A Full Reimbursement: Issued if rebooking is not an option
- Rebook at No Extra Cost: Reschedule to the next suitable date without added charges
- Charter Credit: A credit note valid for one year from the scheduled date
Evaluation of Weather Conditions
We base our weather judgments on the following:
- Analysis of wind patterns and strength
- Assessment of waves and maritime states
- Visibility and rainfall forecasts
- Notifications and proclamations from the Coast Guard
- Experienced captain's navigational prudence
Decision Making Timeframe: Decisions on weather-induced cancellations are made no later than 4 hours before the planned starting time.
Medical Emergency Refund Considerations
Emergency Cases
Medical emergencies are taken seriously and certain situations could qualify for exceptional considerations:
- Sudden medical conditions or injuries requiring immediate hospital care
- Loss of a family member
- Urgent military duties or call backs
- Jury service or legal summons
- Geographical events disrupting travel
Requirement for Documentation
To approve refund requests under emergency considerations, provide the following:
- Evidential medical declaration or hospital records
- Death certification, if pertinent
- Authenticated military deployment notifications
- Legal orders or notice for juror duty
- Tour advisories or emergency bulletins
Refund Procedure: Urgent refunds are processed within 3-5 working days following receipt of correct documentation.
Cancellations Due to Operational Factors
Technical Dilemmas
If your designated yacht fails to operate due to mechanical issues:
- An Alternative Vessel: We will attempt to arrange a similar option
- A Full Reimbursement: Granted when a substitute is unavailable
- A Partial Reimbursement: If the alternate yacht has a different rate
- Compensation: Possible additional reimbursement for inconveniences
Unforeseen Crew Unavailability
In the uncommon event a certified crew cannot be found:
- A substitute crew will be sourced if possible
- A full refund if the charter is unable to go ahead
- An option to reschedule without additional fees

Reimbursements are facilitated through the initial method of payment:
- Credit Card: 5-7 business days
- Direct Bank Transactions: 7-10 business days
- Cash or Check: 3-5 business days

€25 fee for all Bank Transfer repayments

Charter Credits
Occasions for Issuing Credits
In particular cases, charter credits may be suggested as a substitute to cash refunds:
- Cancellations made with brief notice (less than one day)
- Cancellations due to climatic conditions
- Requests to reschedule voluntarily
- Charter disruptions due to operations
Credit Features
- Validity Term: 1 year from issuing date
- Transferrable: Non-exchangeable among individuals
- Worth: Comprises entirety of yacht costs sans handling fees
- Utilization: Applicable for any scheduled yachts
- Expiry: No extension past the 12-month duration
Pro-Rata Service Reimbursements
Service Interruptions
In the event your sailing is cut short due to our controllable circumstances:
- Refund calculated by the unused portion
- Credit for another yacht hire of equivalent value
- Extra amenities or upgrades at no fee
Disruptions Related to Guests
If charter termination occurs earlier due to conduct issues or deviations from safety rules by the guests:
- No returns for unspent charter duration
- The full payment is still expected
- Additional fees might be incurred
Process of Dispute Settlement
If there’s a discrepancy with a refund decision, the following steps are available:
- Appeal for managerial reassessment
- Submit supplementary evidence or records
- Explore options with consumer rights institutions
- Legal actions pursuant to relevant laws
